Job summary

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years post high school technical training in craft discipline or chemical operator preferred.
• Must pass mechanical aptitude, mathematics and reading comprehension tests.
• Experience troubleshooting and finding solutions.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment and associated systems.
• Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor the process operation and collect samples for analyses.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and operation of processes.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts, overtime, including nights and weekends.
• Climb stairs or ladders and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Generate work requests to fix deficiencies.
• Coordinate with maintenance to maximize efficiency.
• Use computers for job functions and training.
• Background checks and possible substance testing may be required.
