Job summary

Wholestone Farms is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern in Fremont, NE to support improvement projects across plant operations. You will work with operations to define and implement continuous improvement initiatives, analyze processes, and help optimize worker efficiency and yield with cost standards.

You will assist in developing and applying plant-wide improvement plans, studying functional workflows and organizing data to drive productivity gains in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field from a regionally accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum age 18 and ability to perform essential duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to develop and improve processes, work with operations to implement projects to increase productivity, and provide guidance and expertise in various areas.
• Define, develop, and implement plant continuous improvement projects in all areas of plant operations.
• Focus on analysis and project implementation to optimize worker efficiency, yield improvement, waste reduction, and workplace optimization along with accurate cost standards and procedures.
• Study functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units to identify areas of duplication.
• Other duties as assigned.
