Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes across Greensboro, NC, Moulton, AL and Pevely, MO plants. This on-site role supports safety, quality, productivity, and reliability while driving capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires 50% travel to supported plants and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3+ years in process engineering or CI, with Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement in an industrial environment.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion process and personnel safety and support EHS excellence.
• Review, develop, update, and maintain manufacturing processes, procedures, and SOPs.
• Serve as a technical SME for plant processes, driving improvements in productivity, quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Lead process optimization initiatives to improve throughput and reduce variability.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and root causes, then implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, R&D, and other stakeholders to support objectives.
• Support the implementation of new technologies, automation solutions, and digital tools.
• Train and coach production personnel on process best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma.
