Job summary

Ecovyst, Inc. in Houston seeks a qualified professional to analyze and optimize site operations, lead capital projects, and drive cost-per-ton improvements. The role involves maintaining process documentation, controlling expenses, and ensuring HS&E compliance across the plant.

You will collaborate with management to plan turnarounds, supervise field construction, and leverage SAP and OSI PI tools to monitor KPIs such as OST and OEE. A strong background in chemical processing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience in chemical/refining industry, preferably with prior line management experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, API, ASME, NFPA.
• Familiarity with PSM/RMP regulations.
• Ability to comprehend equipment, P&ID, loop, and drawings.
• Ability to perform basic fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer calculations.
• Understanding of chemistry.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Author FEL1 Capital Project scope & justifications.
• Execute small capital projects, including field construction supervision.
• Manage site variable cost/usage and develop action plans to improve CPT.
• Manage Operator Field Log Sheets.
• Manage/Maintain OSI PI system.
• Author/Maintain Consequences of Deviations (CODs).
• Maintain accurate BFDs, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Support and enforce HS&E standards; write SOPs and train plant personnel.
