Job summary

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, part of the PPL Corporation family, is seeking an entry-level power plant operations/maintenance associate in Kentucky. You will follow safety rules, complete training, and support daily plant activities.

You will monitor equipment, report issues, perform tasks across classifications as needed for training, keep work areas clean, and contribute to a cooperative environment while representing the company to the community.

Qualifications

• Must meet all general qualifications of employment.
• Must follow all safety rules.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job.
• Willing and able to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to advance to higher classifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, procedures and practices.
• Complete assigned training and development activities and requirements.
• Promptly report to supervision any damaged or defective equipment or conditions.
• Perform duties of lower or higher classifications that are incidental to the job and for training in higher classifications.
• Keep all equipment, tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Work in a responsible and cooperative manner to support a positive working environment.
• Represent the Company to the community with attention to conduct, appearance and attitude.
