Job summary

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, part of the PPL Corporation family, is seeking an entry-level power plant operations/maintenance associate in Kentucky. You will follow safety rules, complete training, and support daily plant activities.

You will monitor equipment, report issues, perform tasks across classifications as needed for training, keep work areas clean, and contribute to a cooperative environment while representing the company to the community.

Overview

Entry level power plant operations and/or maintenance position.

Responsibilities

• Employee will be knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures and practices
• Actively participate and successfully complete assigned training and development activities and requirements.
• In normal performance of duties, employee will watch for and promptly report to supervision any damaged or defective equipment or conditions which may cause damage or injury.
• Employee will perform duties of lower or higher classifications that are incidental to the job and are within their capabilities, including those needed for purpose of training in the requirements of the higher classification.
• Employee will keep all equipment, tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Employee will perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
• Employee will represent the Company to the community with attention to the highest standards of conduct, appearance and attitude.
