Job summary

Liquid Environmental Solutions operates a wastewater treatment plant in Knoxville, TN, seeking a Plant Operator to join the team. The role is a full-time position with an overnight shift from 2 PM to 10 PM and Monday–Friday scheduling, with weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include managing wastewater intake, operating and maintaining equipment, and performing preventative maintenance while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience as a Plant Operator with maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery preferred.
• Willing to work in environments with strong odors.
• Willing to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of the material.
• Performs cleanup of the area as required.
• Checks tank levels for necessary space for material processing.
• Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations.
• Wears and properly uses safety equipment at all times.
• Always works in a safe and compliant manner.
• Operates and maintains shop equipment.
• May perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Operates heavy equipment including forklift truck and skid steer.
• May perform minor electrical maintenance functions.
• Cleans and maintains process equipment.

Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team at our Wastewater Treatment Plant in Knoxville!

Schedule: Full time (40 hours) Monday through Friday, with Weekends as needed

Overnight Schedule: 2 PM - 10 PM

Location: Knoxville, TN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of the material.
• Performs cleanup of the area as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Must be willing to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
