Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team in Chicago. The role involves managing space for wastewater, operating and maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and environmental standards.

The starting pay is $24/hour with an in-house development program that can raise wages to $26/hour as skills are earned. This full-time night shift 10pm–6am, Monday–Friday offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a growing, environmentally focused

Qualifications

One year of experience as a Plant Operator with maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery (Preferred).
Laboratory experience a plus
Must be willing to work in environments with strong odors.
Must be willing to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.

Responsibilities

Manage space for incoming wastewater and treatment of the material.
Perform cleanup of the area as required.
Check tank levels for space for material processing.
Follow safety and compliance rules and regulations.
Wear and properly use safety equipment at all times.
Always work in a safe and compliant manner.
Operate and maintain shop equipment.
May perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Operate heavy equipment including forklift truck and skid steer.
May perform minor electrical maintenance functions.
Clean and maintain process equipment.

Pay range

$24/hr starting pay -- in house development program to increase wage rapidly over first year as skills are earned and validated (up to $26/hr)!

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of the material.
Performs cleanup of the area as required.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
