Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Plant Operator for our wastewater treatment plant in Jacksonville

Join our team at Liquid Environmental Solutions as a Plant Operator at our wastewater treatment facility in Jacksonville, FL, where every day presents an opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability and community impact. In this hands‑on role, you'll manage wastewater treatment processes, operate essential equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Schedule: Floating schedule over 3 different shifts – must have availability to cover each of these shifts! (this role covers PTO for other employees throughout the year!)

7 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays required.

Wage: $24.57 per hour with possibility for overtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of the material.
• Performs cleanup of the area as required.
• Checks tank levels for necessary space for material processing.
• Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations.
• Wears and properly uses safety equipment at all times.
• Works in a safe and compliant manner.
• Operates and maintains shop equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Operates heavy equipment including forklift truck and skid steer.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance functions.
• Cleans and maintains process equipment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• One (1) year of experience as a Plant Operator with the maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery (Preferred).
• Laboratory experience strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work in environments with strong odors.
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
• Lifting, climbing, and bending.
• Ability to work on feet most of the workday.
• Varied weather working in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
• Strong odors and smells.
