Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Operator to assist in the operation of stone processing plants, including start-up and shutdown, to ensure efficient production. The role involves inspecting conveyors, screens, and crushers, reporting issues, and supporting maintenance activities.

You will perform routine maintenance, keep work areas clean and safe, and handle miscellaneous duties to support plant operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus.
• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment (haul truck, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of stone processing plants, including start-up, shut-down, and overall plant operation.
• Inspect, monitor, and operate conveyors, screens, and crushers; identify and report operating issues and oversized stone.
• Perform routine maintenance, including minor repairs, adjustments, inspections, and lubrication of plant equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by performing general cleanup around the plant and equipment areas.
• Complete additional miscellaneous duties as assigned to support plant operations.
