Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Plant Operator to assist in operating stone processing plants, start-up and shutdown, and overall plant operation. You will inspect and operate conveyors, screens, and crushers, and report issues and oversized stone.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, lubrication, safety compliance, and general cleanup around plant areas. Prior experience with mobile equipment and a strong safety focus are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus.
• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment (haul truck, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of stone processing plants, including start-up, shut-down, and overall plant operation.
• Inspect, monitor, and operate conveyors, screens, and crushers; identify and report operating issues and oversized stone.
• Perform routine maintenance, including minor repairs, adjustments, inspections, and lubrication of plant equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by performing general cleanup around the plant and equipment areas.
• Complete additional miscellaneous duties as assigned to support plant operations.
