Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a production operator in Houston, TX to safely and efficiently produce finished products and prepare customer shipments according to quality standards, production requirements, and DOT regulations.

The role supports regulatory testing, daily housekeeping, and participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and waste minimization. Regular Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or accredited GED and a minimum of one year of relevant experience required; two or more years of manufacturing or chemical industry experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying ambient temperatures, and demonstrate a strong commitment to EHS, quality, and customer service.
• Must have strong reading, math, and technical skills; ability to learn and qualify on production processes and equipment; clear verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently produce finished products and prepare customer shipments per quality, production, and DOT requirements.
• Support regulatory testing and participate in team meetings to propose changes to improve quality, output, cost, health and safety, and waste reduction.
• Perform daily plant housekeeping in production and warehousing areas.
• Assist in monthly inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Ensure shipments are loaded properly and offered in compliance with DOT regulations.
