Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to safely run and monitor crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps, perform daily inspections, and maintain equipment and inventory at the Golden, CO site under the Plant Manager and Supervisor.

You will help achieve production goals, ensure quality output, adhere to MSHA safety policies, train new staff, and complete daily production reports, while keeping the work area clean and compliant with environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• No prior experience required; 6 months–1 year in Aggregate Plant Operations or similar Heavy Building Materials industry preferred.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude; knowledge of plant components; MSHA compliance; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Start, monitor, and regulate crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and pumps in safety-compliant manner.
• Adjust process settings to optimize material flow and quality per specs.
• Operate mobile equipment such as skid steers and front-end loaders for load out and clean-up.
• Conduct pre-shift and ongoing inspections and document daily reports accurately.
• Perform preventative maintenance: greasing, cleaning, belt changes, bearing or pulley replacements.
• Identify malfunctions or blockages and safely shut down equipment during emergencies.
