Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the batching control system to produce concrete mixes.
• Accurately measure and weigh aggregate, cement, water, and admixtures according to mix designs.
• Monitor and adjust batching parameters to ensure consistency and quality of the concrete.
• Coordinate with truck drivers for timely loading of ready-mix trucks.
• Maintain accurate batching records and production logs.
• Perform routine quality control tests on aggregates and fresh concrete (e.g., slump, air content, temperature).
• Identify and report deviations from mix design specifications or quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to resolve issues and improve concrete quality.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections of batching equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Perform minor maintenance and lubrication of batch plant equipment as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including control room and batching plant.
• Adhere to safety policies, including PPE.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, truck drivers, maintenance personnel, and management.

Experience

• Previous experience operating a ready-mix concrete batch plant is highly preferred.
• Experience with automated batching systems a plus.

Other Requirements

• Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Must have a basic knowledge of concrete, cement, or construction industries is preferred.
• Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
• Able to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Able to work in a dusty and noisy environment.

Hourly Range

Hourly Range: the hourly range for this role is between $24.50 - $39.00. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
