Job summary

Vistra Energy in North Bend, Ohio seeks an Operations Trainee to join our plant team. Under supervision on a rotating shift, you will clean equipment, assist operators during startups and shutdowns, and perform duties as directed by your supervisor.

This entry-level role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a mechanical or electrical aptitude, and the ability to work in hot, cold, damp, and confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• Must have mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Able to work in hot, cold, damp, and confined spaces.
• Able to climb and work from a ladder or scaffold.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and lubricating equipment, including changing oil, as directed.
• Keeps area assigned clean and free of debris.
• Assisting other operators during startup, shutdown, and emergencies.
• Assisting in general maintenance as directed.
• Complete the Operations Trainee and related checklists.
• Complete training, testing requirements, and documentation for work assignments.
• Communicate information at shift turnover.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
