Job Description

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of steam plant boilers (up to 4,000 BHP) and chillers (up to 2000 tons), complying with ASME and NFPA standards.
• Operate utility panels to monitor equipment and maintain utility services.
• Maintain logs, reports, and oversee electrical power distribution operations.
• Read OEM manuals and interpret precision instruments.
• Perform minor mechanical piping repairs and preventive maintenance on utility systems such as boilers, chillers, and water systems.
• Sample, test, analyze, and inject chemicals to maintain boiler waterside conditions.
• Inspect the steam plant equipment and ensure safety standards and cleanliness.
• Use hand and power tools safely, adhering to OSHA and other regulations.
• Drive utility vehicles as needed and perform related responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in a multi-boiler high-pressure steam plant.
• Third Class Power Engineers License from NIULPE.
• Knowledge of ASME and NFPA codes for power boilers.
• Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license and a good driving record may be required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, and push or pull up to 150 pounds.
