Martin Marietta is hiring a Plant Operator to support mining and aggregate production. You will run crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps, perform inspections, and help maintain equipment and inventory.

Safety, accuracy in reporting, and teamwork are essential as you contribute to steady output in all weather conditions. The role involves operating mobile equipment, conducting maintenance, and assisting in training new staff while adhering to MSHA policies and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 6 months–1 year in Aggregate Plant Operations or similar heavy materials helpful.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required; knowledge of MSHA regulations beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and safety mindset essential.

Responsibilities

• Start, monitor, and regulate crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and pumps.
• Adjust process settings for optimal material flow and quality.
• Operate skid steers and loaders for load-out and cleanup tasks.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and document daily reports.
• Conduct preventive maintenance such as greasing, belt changes, and bearing work.
• Identify blockages, shut down equipment safely, and request repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow environmental controls.
