Job summary

MartinMarietta is seeking a Plant Operator to support mining and aggregate production. You will operate, monitor, and maintain plant processing equipment, perform inspections, report defects, manage wear-item inventory, and help ensure consistent, high-quality output in a safe, clean site.

You will work under the Plant Manager and Supervisor, handling routine tasks and contributing to production goals while complying with MSHA and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience acceptable.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Familiarity with plant components and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and pumps safely and efficiently.
• Adjust process settings for optimal material flow and quality.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and document daily reports.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks (greasing, cleaning, belt changes, etc.).
• Identify malfunctions, shut down equipment safely, and request repairs.
• Maintain tidy work area and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
