Job summary

Antero Resources in West Virginia is seeking a Plant Operator responsible for safely monitoring and operating compressor units and related equipment to optimize throughput.

You will follow procedures, maintain records, report issues, support emissions compliance, and train under supervision while developing progressive skills in field operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess basic knowledge of operational parameters and functionality to perform start-up procedures for compressor units and processed equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of technology such as computers and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

  • Safely monitor and operate manual and automated controls on the compressor units and processed equipment to optimize throughput.
  • Identify and report common operational issues on compressor units and processed equipment. Perform minor or basic repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure field equipment operates under current emissions guidelines and standards per the Air Quality Permit agreement.
  • Follow set processes and procedures to maintain inventory levels of supplies and bulk fluids to ensure an adequate supply to meet operational needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate records by submitting accurate reports, work orders, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork daily.
  • Train on specific equipment/machinery in a safe and productive manner and gain progressive skills from other Plant Operators and supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Under General Supervision, This Position Will

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Possess basic knowledge of operational parameters and functionality to perform start-up procedures for compressor units and processed equipment.

  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of technology such as computers and mobile devices.

  • Basic math skills with the ability to complete calculations.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to take initiative and work independently, as well as work in a team environment.


SAFETY SENSITIVE RELATED

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.

  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.


Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Field Related


  • Exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

  • Exposure to high pressure and temperature from normal operating systems.

  • Extreme Cold and Heat: temperatures typically below 32 o F or above 100 o F for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions as wind, rain, snow, and humidity.

  • Noise: there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

  • Vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.

  • Confined Space: work areas large enough for individual to enter, limited means of entry or exit, and not designed for continue occupancy.

  • Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals, combustibles, explosives, etc.


HOURS / SHIFTS


  • Regular business hours.

  • Available for on-call rotation and responsibilities on weekends and holidays for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

  • Regularly lift, push, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequently be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.

  • Frequent amount of traversing through challenging terrain to perform work, evaluate sites and conditions, inspect equipment/assets, etc.


TRAVEL

Approximate amount of time: Minimal (under 25%); Regularly (25% - 75%); Frequent (more than 75%).


  • Minimal travel may be required to other locations.

  • Frequent travel to Company’s field operations and/or offices. Approximately 95% of time in field.
