Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to assist with a variety of semi-skilled tasks at our production facility. You will lubricate machinery, monitor conveyors, shakers, crushers, feeders and pumps, and perform daily inspections.

This role requires a safety-first mindset, ability to read equipment manuals, use hand tools, and operate heavy mining/construction equipment. Expect 12-hour shifts with potential overtime; orientation occurs at the Dallas, TX corporate office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of aggregate/mining plant operations.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.
• Experience with operation of heavy mining/construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per training and manufacturer instructions.
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on systems, equipment and accessories.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service equipment.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs to supervision.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of plant and equipment.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Assist with operation of other equipment as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
