Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking personnel to perform minor and routine plant operations on an assigned shift, supporting electro-static precipitators and fly ash conveyance systems. The role involves assisting colleagues, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Qualified candidates will have a two-year associate degree in electronics or electromechanical fields, a valid state driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints and operate plant tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, electromechanical, or an equivalent technical specialty is generally required.
• Must hold a valid State Driver's License.
• Must be able to read and work from simple blueprints/specifications and possess the physical ability to learn and use required plant tools.

Responsibilities

• Plant Operations: Perform minor and routine operating duties, and support the operations of electro-static precipitators and fly ash conveyance systems.
• Assistance: Assist workers of equal or higher classification in daily plant operations, maintenance tasks, and structural upkeep.
• Maintenance & Cleaning: Execute general plant cleaning, inspect shipments and parts for accuracy, and maintain tools and vehicles in a safe, orderly condition.
• Safety & Compliance: Investigate complaints, strictly adhere to federal/state safety laws (OSHA), and ensure safe work practices are followed across the assigned shift.
