How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Airgas is seeking a Plant Operator for our Santa Fe Springs Dry Ice facility. The Plant Operator will assist with tasks such as production, packaging of dry ice, shipping preparation, and loading/unloading products in commercial trucks.

Our trusted Plant Operators are responsible for safely packaging products within a manufacturing plant, adhering to facility work rules, and meeting productivity, quality, and safety standards. Responsibilities include:

1. Loading and packaging dry ice daily in accordance with quality standards.
2. Operating forklifts and/or pallet jacks to maneuver and load dry ice boxes on production floors and trailers.
3. Knowing and complying with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
4. Performing clean-up functions such as sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal, and pick-up.

Are you a MATCH?

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform basic math operations and understand measurements.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Work Environment

The work environment may be unconditioned (warm in summer, cold in winter) and involves hazards requiring personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes. Handling dry ice requires gloves due to its extreme cold. The noise level is typically loud.
