Job summary

Western Midstream in Longmont, CO, invites you to join the Latham Gas Plant Operations team in the Northern Rockies Region. The role supports operating gas treatment facilities and performing routine maintenance on equipment, with a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in gas plant operations, be able to work in a team, and hold a high school diploma. Travel is 0-10% and you must live within 50 miles of Platteville, CO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year gas plant operations or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of gas processing facilities and equipment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented.
• Experience with Delta V DCS and SIS is preferred.
• Computer skills include Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Start up, shut down and operate engines, compressors, furnaces and towers.
• Analyze flow streams with a gas chromatograph and adjust processes to meet specs.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Prepare maintenance requests and communicate issues to maintenance staff.
• Generate daily production and gas volume reports.
• Coordinate with gas control and field operations.
• Complete reports and logs.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts, indoors and outdoors around heavy equipment.
• Operate safety and fire protection systems.
• Support health, safety and environmental culture.

Job description

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

We’re engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, recycling, treating, and disposing of produced water for our customers. In our capacity as a natural gas processor, we also buy and sell natural gas, NGLs, and condensate on our behalf and our customers under certain gas processing contracts.

Job Summary

This position is located within the Western Midstream Northern Rockies Region as a member of the Latham Gas Plant Operations team in Longmont, CO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year gas plant operations or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas processing facilities and related equipment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
• Experience on Delta V DCS and SIS preferred
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for engines, compressors, furnaces, distillation towers, expanders, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
• Analyze flow streams using a gas chromatograph and product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications
• Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
• Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
• Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime and gas volumes
• Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes. Coordinate with gas control, field operations and third party interests as required.
• Complete assigned reports and logs
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts. Working inside and outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions
• Monitor, maintain, and operate safety and fire protection systems
• Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with Western Midstream Core Values
• Be an active participant our Health Safety and Environmental culture
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications/Licenses

• Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

Travel Requirements

• The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule

• 12 hour rotating shift position including nights, weekends and holidays.

Candidate must live within 50 miles of Platteville, CO.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform the essential functions of the position, including safely lifting and moving equipment, climbing stairs, working around industrial equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

*The pay range for this position in Colorado is $38.00 - $59.75; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
