Job summary

Western Midstream in Longmont, CO is seeking a Gas Plant Operator to join the Latham Gas Plant Operations team. You will perform startup and shutdown procedures for engines, compressors, furnaces, and other equipment, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

The role requires at least 1 year of gas plant experience, familiarity with hydrocarbon processing facilities, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year gas plant operations or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas processing facilities and related equipment is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
• Experience on Delta V DCS and SIS preferred
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Execute startup, shutdown and operating procedures for engines, compressors, furnaces, distillation towers, expanders, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
• Analyze flow streams using a gas chromatograph and product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications
• Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
• Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
• Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime and gas volumes
• Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes. Coordinate with gas control, field operations and third party interests as required
• Complete assigned reports and logs
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts. Working inside and outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions
• Monitor, maintain, and operate safety and fire protection systems
• Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with Western Midstream Core Values
• Be an active participant our Health Safety and Environmental culture
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Job Summary

This position is located within the Western Midstream Northern Rockies Region as a member of the Latham Gas Plant Operations team in Longmont, CO.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

Travel Requirements:

• The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule:

• 12 hour rotating shift position including nights, weekends and holidays.

Candidate must live within 50 miles of Platteville, CO.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to perform the essential functions of the position, including safely lifting and moving equipment, climbing stairs, working around industrial equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

*The pay range for this position in Colorado is $38.00 - $59.75; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
