Job summary

Western Midstream in Carrizo Springs, TX, is seeking a skilled operator for our Maverick Basin team. This role supports startup/shutdown of engines, compressors and distillation equipment, and requires working knowledge of gas processing facilities.

Candidates should have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and be able to operate safely in a rotating 12-hour schedule, including nights and holidays. High school diploma and valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Gas plant operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of gas processing facilities preferred.
• Proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Execute startup, shutdown and operating procedures for engines and equipment.
• Analyze gas streams using a gas chromatograph to adjust processes.
• Perform minor maintenance on compressors, engines, pumps and valves.
• Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel.
• Generate daily production reports with liquid production, downtime and gas volumes.
• Monitor and coordinate inlet/outlet volumes with gas control and field operations.
• Complete assigned reports and logs.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts, indoors/outdoors around heavy equipment.
• Monitor safety and fire protection systems.
• Align duties with Western Midstream Core Values and Health Safety culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

Job Summary:

This position is located within the Western Midstream South Texas Maverick Basin as a member of the Carrizo Springs Operations team in Carrizo, TX.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year gas plant operations or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas processing facilities and related equipment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
• Experience on Wonderware, Delta V DCS and SIS preferred
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for engines, compressors, furnaces, distillation towers, expanders, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves, and alarms
• Analyze flow streams using a gas chromatograph and product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications
• Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
• Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
• Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime, and gas volumes
• Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes. Coordinate with gas control, field operations and third-party interests as required.
• Complete assigned reports and logs
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts. Working inside and outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions
• Monitor, maintain, and operate safety and fire protection systems
• Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with Western Midstream Core Values
• Be an active participant our Health Safety and Environmental culture
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle

Travel Requirements:

• The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule:

• 12 hour rotating shift position including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Candidate must live within 50 miles of Carrizo Springs, TX.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to perform the essential functions of the position, including safely lifting and moving equipment, climbing stairs, working around industrial equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
