Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Downtown Mesa is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Assistant to join our maintenance team. You will perform a wide range of building maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical to carpentry and HVAC, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

The role requires reliability, a valid driver's license, and the ability to handle on-call rotations to keep the community running 24/7.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a community setting.
• Requires a valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall and HVAC is preferred.
• Dependable, punctual and able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supports Avista's mission and values.
• Performs building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall and HVAC tasks.
• Responds to maintenance requests using work orders and prioritizes issues.
• Performs routine maintenance and ensures tools and supplies are stored properly.
• Participates in On-Call rotation to cover 24/7 operations.
• Ensures apartments/rooms are rent-ready before new residents move in.
