Job summary

PTUSA is seeking a plant operator to assist on the plant floor and in the laboratory, applying mechanical aptitude in a combined research/production environment. The role involves monitoring through an MMI system, sampling streams, logging data, and collaborating with staff and nutritionists to ensure safe, efficient production of animal feed.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, using Microsoft Office for reporting, and adhering to FSMA and PTUSA safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in production/plant environments preferred, especially in fermentation/biochemical settings.
• Familiar with plant process control systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of PTUSA's plant operations as determined by staff.
• Operate and monitor plant operations through an MMI (Man-Machine-Interface) system.
• Sample plant streams to check operating conditions.
• Record and maintain logs on operating conditions and generate reports as needed.
• Communicate with staff, lab personnel, and nutritionists on plant status.
