Job summary

OCI Alabama LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to support plant operations by daily monitoring of process equipment, identifying issues, and keeping the line running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot root causes, ensure preventive maintenance is up to date, complete work orders from start to finish, and coach trainees in mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical tasks while coordinating with operations and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring process equipment to keep operations running.
• Ability to troubleshoot and evaluate root causes of process, equipment, and maintenance issues.
• Maintain preventive maintenance for equipment to improve reliability.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner and track them from initiation to closure.
• Support training and OJT for new hires in mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical tasks.
• Commitment to safety and environmental protection; stop activities that could cause harm.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process equipment daily to keep operations running
• Troubleshoot issues and evaluate root causes
• Keep preventive maintenance up to date to improve reliability
• Complete and track work orders from initiation to closure
• Coach and train new hires on mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical tasks
• Communicate daily activities with Operations, Maintenance, and Support staff
• Pursue process improvements and design recommendations with supervision
• Work overtime and participate in on-call rotation when scheduled
• Take ownership of plant equipment and learn all on-site systems
• Stop activities that could result in injury or environmental harm
