Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee day-to-day aggregate plant operations, ensuring efficient production and adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

The role supports the Plant Manager in mine development, striving for optimum utilization at the lowest operating cost while maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with MSHA/OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in conducting land striping & reclamation.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Construction materials industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises hourly employees in land stripping & reclamation operations.
• Plans and prioritizes department objectives to meet production goals.
• Maintains scheduling within budget parameters and supports cost control efforts.
• Participates in recruitment and onboarding of hourly staff.
• Ensures training and safety instructions are followed by the team.
• Manages manpower planning and assigns work per production needs.
• Collaborates with SHE to maintain compliant and safe work environment.
• Monitors equipment maintenance and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
