Job summary

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a paper industry.
• Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Requires computer skills with Word and Excel.
• Multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment.
• Occasional travel required.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manages, directs, and controls activities for all manufacturing personnel.
• Schedules all production activities.
• Communicates the schedule and current lead times to customer service personnel.
• Primary contact regarding hiring of all direct labor employees and maintaining the cross-training matrix.
• Works with area managers to ensure direct labor evaluation.
• Directs employees to achieve the best product delivery and quality.
• Responsible for overall quality and cost performance for every roll.
• Oversees assigned capital projects.
• Visits customer sites as required by the customer or Sales group.
• Ensures SPI and industry standards are met for all rolls.
• Travels to other Andritz facilities to facilitate Plant efficiency.
• Reports issues or concerns to the Plant Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
