Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Plant Supervisor in California to oversee the efficient flow of raw materials into finished products and ensure equipment and facilities are well maintained. The role requires strong supervision, safety leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement to meet plant goals.

You will manage production and maintenance teams, drive safety initiatives, and coordinate with cross-functional staff to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience required.
• Minimum 1-year experience as a fabricator with knowledge of welding and cutting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Observe and enforce all safety rules and participate in safety meetings with plant staff.
• Maintain efficient flow of all raw materials and finished products.
• Oversee maintenance, preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
• Achieve department targets and objectives.
• Oversee production and maintenance performance and facility upkeep.
• Assist in accident investigations and provide recommendations to Plant Safety Committee.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
