Job summary

Darling Ingredients' Sacramento rendering facility seeks a General Manager responsible for driving sales growth, retaining customers, achieving profitability, and maintaining rigorous health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead plant operations, oversee budgets, develop management staff, ensure supplier relationships, and maintain safety as top priority while aligning with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in a mid-level management position in an industrial/plant setting.
• Experience in rendering industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates activities of personnel, equipment, and fleet for raw material intake, processing, storage and distribution of finished goods.
• Develops and mentors management staff and oversees budget development and expenditures.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees accounts payable processing and adherence to accounting procedures.
