Job summary
Cemex US in Houston seeks an Assistant Plant Superintendent responsible for scheduling drivers and plant personnel, coordinating on-site operations, and approving time in KRONOS and PBC systems to keep production on track.
You will oversee safety, maintenance, and raw materials, manage costs and KPI, hire and retain staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental requirements while fostering a professional, results-driven team culture.
Qualifications
- College degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- 5+ years in plant production, safety, and maintenance management.
- 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- ACI Certification and NRMCA Plant Manager Course encouraged.
- Experience with equipment maintenance and problem resolution.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations.
Responsibilities
- Schedule drivers and plant personnel with Dispatch.
- Coordinate job sites and approve time in KRONOS and PBC systems.
- Oversee plant operations and maintenance.
- Manage raw materials quality and testing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead continuous improvement and OE initiatives.
