Qualifications

• Six years of experience managing a physical plant in an institutional, educational, laboratory, or healthcare setting.
• Experience in budget planning and workforce allocation.
• Contract management of building maintenance/construction projects and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the physical plant and maintenance department.
• Administer maintenance contracts for primary building systems.
• Manage staff, including contract staff on-site, with hiring, training and evaluations.
• Develop and implement policies for facility maintenance operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations; address deficiencies promptly.
• Prepare annual budgets and manage purchasing related to buildings and grounds.
