Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a General Support I to assist in plant operations, equipment handling, and routine maintenance. The role involves cleaning, material handling, inspections, and supporting maintenance activities in an outdoor environment.

Ideal candidates will be able to operate large equipment, work off shifts when needed, and travel to other facilities as required. This is an entry-level position offering exposure to mining/construction operations and comprehensive safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level experience in mining/construction preferred.
• Ability to operate skid-steer, forklift or similar clean-up loader.
• Must work outdoors in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with plant operation and general maintenance.
• Perform cleaning, washing, sweeping, and material handling.
• Conduct safety and operational inspections.
• Support preventative maintenance activities.
• Travel to other facilities may be required.
