Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an entry-level General Maintenance helper to assist with general tasks around the worksite. Under supervision, you will learn maintenance fundamentals, perform basic inspections, and help with minor repairs to keep plant equipment running.

You will work under supervision to develop skills, document maintenance, and ensure safety protocols are followed, including MSHA and OSHA guidelines and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance is preferred but not necessary.
• Willingness to learn mechanical fundamentals and safety procedures.
• Commitment to MSHA/OSHA safety regulations and LOTO protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report findings.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components (belts, idlers, pumps).
• Record service logs and maintenance records for equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA safety rules and LOTO procedures.
