Job summary
LANXESS is seeking a senior Operations leader in Charleston, SC to direct daily execution across multiple units, set priorities, and ensure safe, reliable plant performance. You will align maintenance, engineering, reliability, supply chain and Quality to meet production targets while upholding rigorous standards.
The role requires 15+ years in chemical manufacturing with 5+ in leadership, strong coaching, and a track record of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing with leadership responsibility for production personnel.
- More than 10 years in multi-unit operations in a safety-critical, regulated environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a high-performing Operations team.
- Strong knowledge of chemical plant operations, production planning and decision-making.
- Ability to coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Supply Chain, Logistics and Quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily execution and performance of the Operations organization.
- Establish priorities, allocate resources and ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maximize plant reliability and customer service.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through root-cause investigations.
- Own and monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions.
