Job summary

LANXESS in Charleston, SC, seeks an experienced Operations leader to drive daily plant performance and safety across multiple units. You will manage staffing, training, and performance, while coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering and other functions to maximize reliability and customer service.

The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and disciplined operations. The candidate should bring 15+ years in chemical manufacturing, with 5+ years in leadership, and a B.S.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing or related process environment.
• 5+ years in a leadership, supervisory or production management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution and performance of the Operations organization.
• Coordinate staffing and resources to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
• Establish operating standards, training expectations and performance metrics across production.
• Provide line management for Operations including selection, onboarding and performance management.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Supply Chain and other functions to maximize plant reliability.
• Drive improvements through root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
