Bunge in Channahon, Illinois seeks an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day crush, refinery, milling or packaging production. You will support the Plant Manager in productivity, safety, quality and cost goals.

The role requires 10+ years in soybean crushing/oil refining or related industrial operations, a technical degree, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills; on-call 24/7. Excellent benefits and incentive bonus apply.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering or related field, or equivalent progressive experience 10+ years in related operations.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills including Lotus Notes and Microsoft Word.

Responsabilidades

• Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common
• Oversee facility production activities to ensure operations run at high efficiency
• Manage monthly sanitation inspections and corrective actions
• Track and report facility productivity improvements
• Approve daily reports and KPIs for department, may oversee two or more departments
• Support and develop Supervisors in operations issues and trouble shooting
• Assist Plant Manager in planning annual shutdowns
• Oversee Process Safety Management programs, where applicable
• Ensure compliance with Safety/Environmental Manager
• Develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals
• Support continuous improvement activities and act as change agent for changes in the facility
• Monitor KPIs and develop plans to align teams with Operations Excellence goals
• Participate in daily production meetings to stay informed
• Monitor and manage product yields
• Participate in new employee selection process
• Assist Supervisors with personnel issues by investigations and corrective actions
• Perform other duties as assigned
