Bunge Iberica SA in Sandston, VA is hiring for a Production Operations Supervisor/Manager to oversee daily production activities across crushing, refining, milling and packaging. This role ensures safety, productivity and regulatory compliance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires a engineering degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in related operations, and flexibility for odd hours and rotating shifts. An annual incentive bonus is available.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing or chemical engineering or related field or equivalent progressive experience.
• 3+ years in soybean crushing, oil refining, milling, oil packaging operations, or related activities in support of industrial operations.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise day-to-day production operations across crushing, refining, milling or packaging.
• Support Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
• Cultivate a safety culture and reduce injuries across the shift.
• Ensure sanitation compliance and support monthly sanitation inspections.
• Track shift productivity and report KPIs (KPRs).
• Approve daily reports and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in planning annual plant shutdowns and participate in safety programs.
• Collaborate with Safety/Environmental teams to ensure compliance.

A Day in the Life:

Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned Crush, Refinery, Milling or Packaging production operations department shift. Support the Mgr-Production Operations in monitoring and improving plant productivity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries
• Oversee assigned department production shift activities (crush, refinery, milling, packaging, warehouse, boiler house, and/or elevator) to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency
• Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary
• Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements
• Track and report shift productivity improvements
• Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift
• Report and trouble shoot operations issues
• Provide input to the Mgr-Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns
• Support Process Safety Management programs, where applicable
• Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects
• Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift
• Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift
• Monitor KPR’s and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals
• Periodically participate in the daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the assigned shift operations activities are aligned
• Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering or related field or equivalent progressive experience of 3+ years in soybean crushing, oil refining, milling, oil packaging operations, or related and applicable activities in support of industrial operations is required
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required

Salary range is $76,120.00-$85,680.00. This role is also eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.
