Job summary

International Paper in Itasca, IL is seeking a hands-on Plant Superintendent to lead first and second shifts at our recycling plant. You will direct operations, mentor production leads, manage costs, and drive safety and continuous improvement initiatives to meet plant targets.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (college degree or experience preferred), Spanish proficiency, and strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead first and second shift operations.
• Deliver results on key operational metrics.

• Manage costs and plant S&A expenditures.
• Provide leadership across transportation, maintenance and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Develop working knowledge of P&L statements.

Education
