Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mining or Civil) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of plant management experience, preferably in the mining industry.
• Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and a strong personal commitment to safety.
• Dredge Operator experience is required.
• Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meet safety standards, production requirements, maintain quality control and coordinate inventory and product mix levels.
• Lead safety, health, environmental programs and policies; develop salary and hourly workforce to drive safety and productivity.
• Develop cost goals, manage production and quality goals and provide updated forecasts.
• Purchase or direct purchases of supplies and equipment per policy.
• Plan and schedule plant activities including production and training.
• Coordinate with Mining Plan and review mining/process functions for improvements in material handling and recovery.
• Improve plant appearance and working conditions through reclamation and housekeeping projects.
• Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, appropriations and expenditures; initiate requisitions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
