Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete in Houston is seeking an experienced operations-focused Plant Manager to lead production, material handling, inventory, and logistics to meet throughput, quality, and profitability targets.

You will drive safety culture, enforce ARC 100 and safety programs, investigate incidents, ensure compliance with environmental and labor regulations, and coordinate with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch on inbound/outbound materials and upcoming work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aggregate recycling operations or process/production environments.
• Preferred 5+ years and crushing plant equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Own overall plant operations (production, material handling, inventory, and logistics) to meet throughput, quality, and profitability targets.
• Lead safety culture: conduct/oversee daily safety meetings, enforce ARC 100 and company safety programs, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including environmental and labor regulations.
• Plan and direct daily operations; monitor workflow and KPIs; identify and implement operational improvements and cost savings.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability: ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed, coordinate repairs and downtime planning, and verify maintenance documentation.
• Supervise, coach, and develop plant personnel; manage scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Communicate routinely with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch regarding inbound/outbound materials, quantities, trucking needs, and upcoming work.
• Support customer and vendor relationships; ensure product availability and service meet expectations.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation; stay current through training and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
