Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete in Houston is hiring a plant worker to support daily operations outdoors. You will follow safety policies, inspect equipment, and assist with crushing operations to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires physical stamina, willingness to work overtime and in all weather. Prior experience is preferred, and the company offers growth opportunities and an employee-focused benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and OSHA regulations; inspects workplace daily and reports deficiencies to supervisor
• Performs daily maintenance inspections to maximize production and minimize downtime
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and reports safety or maintenance issues
• Performs lifting, pulling, carrying and other manual labor to operate equipment that crushes concrete and removes rebar and debris
• Performs repairs and maintenance throughout the plant including screen changes, conveyor belt repair, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, and water pump service
• Assists with operation tasks including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials; ensures misters operate to minimize dust
• Willing to cross-train and safely perform the work of other jobs as needed to accomplish productivity objectives
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
