Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all manufacturing operations in Indiana. You will lead production planning, quality control, safety, maintenance, and personnel management, reporting to the VP of Operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s engineering degree or related field; Master’s preferred.
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Plant Manager.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma/ISO quality systems.
Proficient with manufacturing software and ERP.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
Monitor production schedules, manage budgets and staffing, optimize resources to meet targets.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
Comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards; conduct safety audits and corrective actions.
Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including supervisors and line workers.
Foster a positive work culture, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
Communicate with upper management on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
