Job summary

The Bridger Group partners with a leading manufacturer in the commercial building products space that is seeking an Operations Manager for its Pittsburgh-area manufacturing facility. You will lead overall plant operations to meet safety, quality, production, and profitability goals while developing the leadership team.

You will own the facility P&L, drive cost and productivity improvements, and execute lean initiatives to elevate performance.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement and implementing lean tools or driving OTD.
• Experience managing a plant or business unit with P&L responsibility.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, financial performance, and continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
• Own the facility P&L and ensure financial and operational goals are achieved.
• Drive improvements in plant performance, productivity, quality, labor utilization, and operating costs.
• Lead, develop, and provide direction to plant leadership and other key members of the management team.
• Oversee capital and operating expenditures while controlling overtime, freight, repair, and other operating expenses.
• Ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and overall plant performance.
