Job summary

IMH Products, Prophetstown facility, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead Production, Quality, Shipping/Receiving, and Maintenance, reporting to the President. You will shape operations culture and drive customer focus, safety, quality, and efficiency.

This role requires coaching departmental leaders, implementing continuous improvement with Lean and Six Sigma, and aligning processes with company objectives and customer expectations. Strong leadership and strategic planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7+ years in a senior operations role in metal fabrication or similar.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive teams toward operational excellence.
• Experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations in metal fabrication.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation practices.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership, aligning plant operations with long-term business objectives.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Improve efficiency, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize production planning for growth.
• Develop high-potential employees and pathways for internal promotion.
• Set performance standards and coach staff, enforcing policies.
• Partner with HR for hiring and training plans aligned to goals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Oversee maintenance, quality, shipping/receiving, and other functions.
