Job summary

Aurorium is seeking an hands‑on Operations Leader for the Greensboro site to drive safety, reliability, and Lean improvements across production. You will own the operations strategy, build a high‑performing team, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated chemical environment.

You will oversee labor strategy, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration for new product introductions and process scale‑ups, reporting to the site leadership team and shaping the site’s strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Engineering.
• 7–10 years in chemical manufacturing operations or related industrial production.
• Supervisory and team‑leadership experience with proven coaching and development capabilities.
• Lean / Six Sigma training (Green Belt or Black Belt highly preferred).
• Experience in PSM‑regulated chemical, petrochemical, or refinery environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion a world‑class safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, environmental, and personnel protection standards
• Deliver safe, on‑time, in‑full production that meets cost and quality targets
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team — building capability, succession, and future leaders
• Drive Lean / Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve processes
• Own manufacturing execution: labor strategy, workforce planning, and daily production performance
• Partner cross‑functionally on new product introductions, technical scale‑ups, and process enhancements
• Oversee site production budgeting, scheduling, and cost control initiatives
• Strengthen communication, alignment, and collaboration across shifts and functional teams
• Serve as a key member of the site leadership team, helping shape culture, engagement, and operational strategy
