Job summary

TOMZ Corporation in Big Lake, MN is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee plant supply, production, and service to customers. You will develop and execute the plant's strategy to meet manufacturing goals and manage the annual operating plan, budgets, and headcount.

The role requires leadership across Facilities, MFG Ops, Post Machining Ops and Quality Ops, using Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive cost reductions and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of manufacturing and operations experience in a plant or senior management role.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques with the proven ability to apply them to business needs.
• Ability to meet metrics including EH&S objectives, on-time delivery, quality, cost management, and inventory management.
• Strong computer skills and mandatory experience utilizing ERP systems.
• Medical Device or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives growth through active management of all internal processes.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates all production and delivery activities to meet customer commitments.
• Utilizes ERP and corporate financial systems to report performance and financial data.
• Assists with establishing operating budgets and controls costs.
• Oversees production activities to meet monthly production plans and optimize material flow.
• Establishes and tracks quality and cost improvement programs.
• Implements Lean daily management systems to improve performance.
• Ensures adherence to TOMZ Quality Management System.
• Governs communication within the facility to engage employees and align efforts with business goals.
