Job summary

Specialty Herd Solutions in Fresno, CA seeks a Plant Manager to lead operations, safety, quality, maintenance, and logistics. This hands-on role drives continuous improvement, ensures compliance, and develops a high-performing team focused on operational excellence.

You will manage production KPIs, implement SOPs, optimize batch processes, and uphold OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards while guiding cost-effective, safe plant performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing or plant operations experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and improving operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to meet production, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
• Optimize batch processes, reduce waste, and troubleshoot off-spec products.
• Develop, implement, and standardize SOPs across production.
• Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead safety programs including PPE, LOTO, confined space, and spill response.
• Oversee equipment reliability programs and maintenance, improving uptime.
• Manage material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse operations.
• Foster collaboration across plant functions (EHS, QA, Maintenance, Supply Chain).
